How Pool Leaks Are Identified
Our leak investigation follows a structured, step-by-step process to determine if a leak is present and where it is most likelu coming from.
Step 1: Structural & Visual Inspection
We evaluate the pool structure, fittings, and visible penetrations for common leak points where water may escape.
Common areas evaluated include:
Skimmer throat and skimmer body
Return fittings
Light niches
Tile line cracks or separation
Steps and seam transitions
Visible cracks within the pool shell
Step 2: Water Loss Monitoring & Dye Testing:
Digital water loss monitoring and dye testing are used to confirm whether abnormal water loss is present and help identify likely leak locations within the pool.
Step 3: Plumbing Evaluation (If Needed):
If findings indicate the issue may be within the plumbing system, we can perform additional testing such as pressure testing to help isolate and confirm the affected line.
Not all leaks require invasive testing; many can be identified early through proper evaluation.
